Qi gong (Chi Gong) is a 5000 year old Chinese ancient martial art for increasing life force and vitality. It teaches the correct way of breathing, flexibility, balance, strengthening, self-care and self-healing techniques, bringing energy in your body in a nice flow, reducing stress, and boosting the immune system to prevent disease and maintain good health. Tai Chi is 1500 year old Chinese meditation-in-motion martial art.  It’s a sequence of gentle arm and body movements. Practicing Tai Chi regularly will help with balance, centeredness, and endurance; reduce the risk of falling; and bring mind, body, and breath (spirit) in balance.

In this class we will do both Qi Gong and Tai Chi exercises. In Tuesday's class we will do Qi Gong warm ups and learn Tai Chi 16 and 24 forms. In Wednesday's class we will do Qi Gong movements/dance and practice Tai Chi 24 and 48 forms. Each time you will leave the class refreshed, empowered and happy. Please wear soft flat-bottomed shoes and loose comfortable clothing when exercising.

Rose Lee has been teaching Chinese martial arts for more than 20 years in fitness clubs, retirement communities and senior centers. She is an inspiring enthusiastic instructor.
